Nestled in the heart of Alaró, a charming town in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains, Jordà & Llinàs Dental Clinic has become a benchmark for dental care in Mallorca’s Raiguer region. Known for its commitment to excellence, innovation, and a compassionate approach, the clinic is trusted by both locals and international residents seeking high-quality oral health services. Led by Dr. Caterina Jordà Salom and Dr. Mar Llinàs Cifre—both returning to their hometown with impressive academic and clinical credentials—the clinic brings together a multidisciplinary team of dental specialists. Their collective aim: to provide highly personalised and effective treatments in a friendly, supportive environment. The clinic’s state-of-the-art facilities include two dental surgery rooms, a sterilisation unit, and a space dedicated to physiotherapy and osteopathy. Their comprehensive services cover conservative and cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery and implantology, orthodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and endodontics—all delivered with patient comfort and care as top priorities.
How would you describe the philosophy and values that guide your daily practice at Jordà & Llinàs Dental Clinic?
Caterina & Mar: Our philosophy revolves around patient-centred care, which we consider the cornerstone of our practice. Every person who walks through our doors deserves to be treated with warmth and respect. We strive to create a welcoming environment where patients feel at ease—almost like home. Clear, empathetic communication is essential to us. By truly listening to our patients, understanding their needs, and responding to their concerns, we’re able to provide high-quality treatments while building strong, trusting relationships. That’s the foundation of both short- and long-term dental well-being.
What innovative technologies or techniques have you recently incorporated into the clinic?
Caterina & Mar: We are committed to staying current with the latest advancements in dentistry. Our clinic uses digital X-rays and 3D imaging technology to provide accurate and detailed diagnostic information. We’ve also introduced intraoral scanners for digital impressions, eliminating the need for uncomfortable traditional moulds. This technology is especially beneficial in orthodontics, implantology, and aesthetic procedures. These tools not only improve clinical precision but also enhance the overall patient experience by making treatments more efficient and comfortable.
How do you see the evolution of dentistry in the coming years, and how are you preparing for it?
Caterina & Mar: We believe the future of dentistry is moving toward increasingly comprehensive and personalised care. Technological advances—particularly in artificial intelligence and digital planning—will continue to enhance diagnosis and enable less invasive, more precise treatments. At Jordà & Llinàs, we invest in continuous education and professional development to stay ahead of the curve. This commitment allows us to offer our patients the highest standard of care, tailored to their unique needs.
What preventive measures do you recommend to help patients maintain optimal oral health and avoid invasive treatments in the future?
Caterina & Mar: Prevention is the foundation of a healthy mouth. We recommend regular check-ups every six to twelve months, even in the absence of symptoms. These visits allow us to perform professional cleanings, catch potential issues early, and reinforce effective home care routines. We also advise patients on maintaining a balanced, low-sugar diet and provide tailored guidance based on their lifestyle and needs. Our goal is always to prevent problems before they arise. This preventive philosophy also guides our orthodontic treatments, which often begin earlier to ensure better long-term results.
How important is teamwork in your clinic? And how do you create a positive, stress-free experience for your patients?
Caterina & Mar: Teamwork is a core value at our clinic. We deeply believe that collaboration among all team members—from receptionists to dental assistants and specialists—enhances both the working environment and patient care. We encourage open communication and hold regular team meetings to discuss clinical cases and share insights. Recognising and celebrating both individual and team achievements keeps morale high. This collaborative spirit ensures that patients feel supported and at ease throughout their experience with us.
To get to know you better: What inspired you to pursue a career in dentistry? Was there a particular person or moment that influenced your path?
Mar: I’ve always been drawn to health care. As a child, I considered careers in pharmacy, medicine, or dentistry. Dentistry stood out because it combined technical skills, creativity, and human connection—all of which I love. Helping patients improve their quality of life through oral health gives me deep satisfaction. For me, dentistry is the perfect blend of science and compassion.
Caterina: As a child, I felt very self-conscious about my smile, which had a big impact on my self-esteem. Orthodontic treatment changed that—it improved not only my teeth but also my confidence. That experience was so transformative that I decided to pursue a career in dentistry. Today, I’m passionate about helping others rediscover their smiles and, with that, their sense of well-being.
