Every spring, the coastal town of Port d'Alcúdia transforms into a vibrant hub of maritime culture and culinary delights with the Fira de la Sípia—a festival dedicated to the cuttlefish. This much-anticipated event, running from April 17 to 19, 2026, combines seafaring traditions, gastronomy, and entertainment, making it a must-visit for locals and tourists alike.

Location: Port d’Alcúdia (Passeig Marítim and Carrer Gabriel Roca)


Day 1 – Friday, April 17 (Opening Day)

“Els Jocs de la Sípia” – a gamified pub crawl with challenges across different bars in the port.


19:00
Official opening of the fair at Moll Vell:

  • Traditional horn-blowing ceremony (Sonada de Corns)

  • Live radio broadcast


From 19:00 onward

  • Craft and local food market opens

  • Street atmosphere begins around the harbor


Evening and night (Restaurant tent)

  • 20:00 – Live music

  • 22:00 – Concert

  • 00:00 – DJ session

Family activities and children’s workshops at Plaça Pintada

  • Traditional figures and musicians

  • Nautical exhibitions

  • Civil Guard maritime and diving unit display

  • Model boat exhibition

Traditional fishing demonstration (net mending and longline preparation)

Award ceremony: “A Life Dedicated to the Sea”

Traditional Mallorcan dance gathering followed by a popular dance event

Throughout the weekend, restaurants across the port serve cuttlefish-based dishes such as:

  • Croquettes
