La Fira de Tardor is Pollença’s centuries-old autumn fair, celebrated around the second Sunday of November, with roots traced back to at least 1784. Its centerpiece is the Mostra d’Artesania (Crafts Show) at the Claustre de Sant Domingo, launched in 1984 to revive the fair’s traditional spirit, and now joined by a bustling street market of artisans, local food producers, and family activities. Across the weekend, visitors can expect cultural exhibitions, live music, workshops, and a lively Sunday market, with Monday offering a quieter “second fair”.
Tucked into the foothills of Mallorca’s Serra de Tramuntana, Pollença is one of the island’s most storied towns—think Templar-built church on the Plaça Major, the 365-step Calvari stairway to a hilltop chapel, and a much-debated “Roman” bridge (Pont Romà) spanning the Torrent de Sant Jordi. Together they frame an old town of honey-stone lanes and café life just inland from Port de Pollença and the Formentor peninsula.

Why it’s special
La Fira blends the rural roots of Mallorca’s autumn fairs with a polished crafts showcase in an outstanding historic setting. It’s also one of the island’s oldest fairs, and Pollença’s institutions have deliberately steered it toward quality artisan work since the 1980s—a shift that gives the event a clear identity today.
Planning tips
Base yourself in Pollença or Port de Pollença and walk in—the old town streets close or clog during peak hours on Sunday. The Claustre de Sant Domingo and Plaça Major are your anchors.
Arrive early on Sunday for elbow room at the Crafts Show; save Monday morning for a quieter look if you’re around. Past hours have been Saturday–Sunday from late morning to evening, Monday until early afternoon.
Make time for the town: climb a stretch of the Calvari steps for views, and stroll to the Pont Romà—both are part of what makes La Fira feel uniquely Pollença.
