Frikimón is Palmanyola’s own celebration of geek culture — comics, manga and anime, sci-fi, gaming, cosplay and K-pop. The fair debuted in November 2023 and quickly became a community favourite, with workshops, scavenger hunts and fandom groups taking part. In 2024 it returned bigger, with stalls, food, music, dance and contests filling the central square from morning through late afternoon.
Palmanyola is a small community between Palma and Bunyola at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana. It’s the only “Entidad Local Menor” (minor local authority) in the Balearic Islands, a status it gained in 1985, which gives it a degree of self-government. Streets here famously take their names from flowers, with the main activity zone around Avinguda i Plaça de Dàlies — the heart of the fair.
What the fair is about
Frikimón transforms Palmanyola’s centre into a one-day open-air convention. Previous editions have featured:
Stalls & artist alley: local illustrators, comic and retro-game sellers, and craft makers.
Food trucks & street food for all tastes.
Live music & dance, often including K-pop showcases.
Cosplay, from casual walkabouts to contests.
Workshops & family activities, such as mask-making, treasure hunts and themed “gymkhanas.”

Practical tips
Arrive by late morning for the best access to artist tables and to sign up for workshops.
Plan transport carefully as the centre may see traffic restrictions. Public transport is often easier.
Combine it with a day trip: Palmanyola is right at the gateway to the Serra de Tramuntana, perfect if you’re making a weekend of it.
Why it matters
Frikimón shows how a small Mallorcan community can host a big-hearted celebration of creativity and fandom. With its mix of local flavour and international geek culture, it’s a welcoming, family-friendly festival that grows every year. If you’re on Mallorca on 15 November 2025, Palmanyola will be the place to be.
