The Fira d'Alcúdia returns for its 36th edition from October 4 to 6, turning the town into a vibrant hub of cultural celebrations, traditional displays, and community activities. The festival offers a mix of local cuisine, music, exhibitions, and parades, making it a perfect weekend to explore the rich heritage of Alcúdia, Mallorca.
On Friday, the festival kicks off with the Alcúdia Giants Parade at 6:00 p.m., followed by several art exhibitions around town. The Mostra de Cuina Casolana at 8:30 p.m. offers a chance to taste local dishes, with proceeds benefiting community groups. The evening wraps up with live music from The Machins and a lively party at Plaça de Carles V.
Saturday features the Car and Motorcycle Shows from 10:00 a.m., along with a Toy Library and workshops for families. The Animal Area opens at noon, showcasing local breeds. At 7:30 p.m., the thrilling Horse Night equestrian show takes place, followed by an open-air party with the Alcúdia Music Band at 10:00 p.m.
On Sunday, the festival continues with another day of Animal Exhibitions and equestrian events from 10:00 a.m. Family-friendly activities, including a Firefighter Simulation and traditional dance performances, round out the day, concluding with a Popular Ball at 6:30 p.m.
A key attraction throughout the weekend is the Mercato Roma, a Roman-themed market and a nod to the town’s Roman history that immerses visitors in ancient history. From musical parades and costumed performers to evening spectacles like the Carnival of the Colosseum, this market is a must-visit for history lovers.

On October 5th & 6th, 2024, the charming town of Esporles in the Serra de Tramuntana will host one of Mallorca's most anticipated autumn events: the Fira Dolça. The event, in its 18th year, transforms Esporles into a sugary wonderland attracting locals and visitors alike.
On Saturday 5th, the "Dolça Nit de l'Art" kicks off the festivities with art, live music, wine, and cake pairings, while Sunday offers a full day of sweet indulgence and family fun.
The heart of the festival lies in its delicious theme: sweets! Stalls will line the central streets, offering a stunning variety of treats, including beloved Mallorcan pastries like ensaimadas, crespells, and rubiols. On Sunday, October 20, 2024, the town of Felanitx will host the annual Fira del Pebre Bord, a festival that honours the culinary and cultural significance of pebre bord (red pepper) in Mallorcan cuisine. This essential ingredient, especially as paprika, plays a starring role in traditional dishes like sobrassada, and the fair is a tribute to its enduring importance.
