The Fira Dolça (“Sweet Fair”) is an annual celebration in Esporles, dedicated to Mallorcan pastries, confectionery, and artisanal treats. Each year, the town’s main streets fill with stalls overflowing with ensaïmades, bunyols, rubiols, crespells, cocas, chocolates, jams, honeys, and liqueurs. It’s a family-friendly event that combines gastronomy with music, folk dancing, and children’s activities, making it one of Mallorca’s most popular autumn fairs.
Tucked into the forested slopes of Mallorca’s UNESCO-listed Serra de Tramuntana, Esporles is a picturesque stone-built town known for its terraced hillsides, fresh springs, and historic estates such as La Granja. Though small, Esporles is rich in tradition, and every autumn it becomes the island’s capital of sweetness thanks to its much-loved Fira Dolça.
Though Esporles’ history dates back centuries, the Fira Dolça is a relatively young tradition, first celebrated in 2005. In less than two decades, it has grown into a flagship event for Mallorca’s culinary and cultural calendar. In recent years, the fair has expanded to include cultural programming such as the Dolça Nit de l’Art (“Sweet Night of Art”), an evening of music, exhibitions, and tastings that kicks off the celebrations.
Fira Dolça Esporles 2026
Esporles celebrates the 20th edition of the Fira Dolça on Sunday 4 October 2026, with events beginning on Friday and the Dolça Nit de l’Art taking place on Saturday. The programme brings together Mallorcan pastries, local wine, art, family activities, music and traditional crafts.
Friday 2 October
Talks and Local History
15:30 — Assaborint Mallorca amb responsabilitat symposium, organised by SEAE and Conream la Serra, at the Sa Fàbrica auditorium. Further information: agroecologia.net/assaborint-mallorca-responsabilitat/
18:00 — Guided walk with Tomàs Vibot exploring Esporles’ transition towards its industrial past and modern life. Departs from Plaça de l’Ajuntament. Advance registration is required at esporles@ocb.cat.
Saturday 3 October: Dolça Nit de l’Art

17:00–21:00 — Exhibition of posters from the 20 editions of the Fira Dolça at the Sa Fàbrica exhibition hall.
18:00 — Dolça Nit de l’Art begins on Passeig del Rei, bringing art to Esporles for the fair.
19:00 — Group exhibition by Mercè Homar Mas, Joana Leal and Miquel Homar Juan at the AXA Esporles office, with wine and an aperitif.
Throughout the event — Sculpture exhibition by Guiem Aulí at S’Hort des Marquès, Carrer de Mossèn Alcover 22. The programme does not specify opening hours.

Sunday 4 October: The XX Fira Dolça
The Fair and Mallorcan Pastries
09:30 — Mallorcan pastry fair opens on Passeig del Rei, with ensaïmades, crespells, coques, ice cream, chocolate and a wide variety of sweets.
09:30 — Parade of the Gegantons accompanied by the Xeremiers d’Esporles.
10:00 — Official opening at Plaça de l’Ajuntament. Xisca Nadal, creator of this year’s poster and president of the Esporles Traders’ Association, will deliver the opening speech. The Gegantons, Xeremiers, Banda Lira Esporlerina, Rondalla Maristel·la and Batukada Batukadell will take part. The Fira Dolça 2026 distinction will then be presented to master dry-stone waller Miquel Busquets.
11:30 — Cooking demonstration by Miquel Serra at Plaça de l’Ajuntament. He will prepare cremadillos filled with sobrasada and carob cream, followed by a tasting for the audience.
Family Activities
10:00 — Mobile play area on Carrer Ramon Llull, with activities for different ages, including a mini fair, activities for children aged 0–3, building games, circus skills and magic sand.
10:00 — Pedal-powered carousel made from recycled materials at Placeta des Brollador.
11:00 — L’Art de Cuinar, a healthy cooking workshop for families on Carrer Ramon Llull. Children can decorate an apron and make a fruit skewer. No advance registration is required.
09:00–18:00 — The Trenet Dolç runs between the parking area, the far end of the village and La Granja. Fairground rides are also located at the Ca l’Amet car park.

10:00–17:00 — Exhibition of posters from the 20 editions of the Fira Dolça at the Sa Fàbrica exhibition hall.

Practical Notes
The fair runs all day Sunday and attracts thousands of visitors from across Mallorca. If you plan to drive, arrive early to avoid traffic bottlenecks. Esporles is just 20–25 minutes from Palma, making it easy to visit for the day.
